This morning Squirms and R made me breakfast.
And we took a couple of pictures after church.
While I am excited to be pampered and get a present (let's be honest though, when am I not pampered by R?), I can't help but think of last year. Silently watching families at church, reading Facebook posts from new moms, seeing heartwarming Publix commercials about Mother's Day.
This morning's sermon was focused on scripture from Revelation - with Jesus as a fearsome hero and what life will be like. I thought it a fitting sermon for Mother's Day. It will not always "be okay" right now. But it will, someday.
And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. Revelation 21:3-4
I adore that picture of her and you! Who's smile is bigger?!
