Good Day Alabama for May 8, 2012
And read this: http://blog.al.com/spotnews/2012/05/jefferson_countys_minor_high_s.html
Congratulations to the administration, teachers, and students of Minor High School!
So proud of the coach, teacher, and principal that leads and cares about this school.
And of the man that wouldn't tell you, but that sometimes cuts the grass and cleans the bathrooms at the school; and reads books on education theory and leadership in his limited spare time; and stays up late thinking about decisions that effect his teachers; and gets up early to pray.
He also happens to be the man that taught me to ride a bike, water ski, shoot a basketball, and that leaders are servants.
Since I'm posting about my father, I'd like to add in another separate fun fact: the man I consider to be one of the strictest father's in the world (our aunts and uncles would threaten their children with being sent to Camp at our house) now gets on to me about swaddling Squirms and putting her down for naps! He already thinks she should get to do whatever she wants - and she's only three months old.
*I told Shelby Ann to come watch as well, and she did wander over but chose not to stay. She had a bone to chew on and apparently didn't feel like having group time with us. And now she looks like a crack dog - with white paws and a white nose from chewing so hardily on the bone.
