Disney World - Squirm Style

Squirm's adventure to the Happiest Place on Earth:

First stop, Mickey Mouse:

Waiting to see Mickey Mouse - already smiling!

Hello Mickey!!

Then she met the Princesses; she walked to each one, turned around and sat on the floor. The princesses were gracious and sat on the floor with her.

Cinderella! Squirm's mom's favorite!

With Princess Aurora, waving to her fans in line.

Wow, and I thought my mullet was long! Hi, Princess Repunzel.

We rode the Carousel (she Loved the lights, music, and horses) and then met CFF, ADF, and their girls and went to see Cinderella's step family. Their make up and facial expressions were wonderful! I was impressed they looked this great in the heat.

Squirms just cared about the Step-Mother's jewelry.

Next we ventured onto Winnie-the-Pooh ride and then headed to lunch at the Crystal Palace (I'm so thankful the Disney reservation person suggested the Crystal Palace - it's a character lunch with Winnie-the-Pooh and friends and was The Best part of our day). She was So Very Happy to meet Pooh and his friends. She started shouting "Hey!" and waving her arms when they were at other tables; and I didn't think Tigger was going to let us leave, or might come with us! Tigger and Squirms are now best friends.

A hug....after she tried putting her straw in Eeyore's eye.

It's Tigger!! She was so excited, the family at the next table took pictures of her.

Tigger! Hugs! and War Eagle!

Piglet was worried Squirms might fall out of her seat trying to give a hug.

Can you believe this dad????

And then she wouldn't let go of Winnie-the-Pooh. Girl knows how to hug!
We couldn't get a picture of her face because she just wanted to hug Pooh.

After all that excitement we met back up with our friends and rode It's a Small World (which she danced through), Peter Pan, and saw Country Bear Jamboree. Then this happened:

Short break.

After a very short nap we rode the Tea Cups and then went shopping on Main Street to get out of the rain. Then it was time for the First Hair Cut.

What are these sticky things all over me?

Goodbye sweet mullet.

Neither one of us cried.

Big Girl! A hair cut and Mickey ears!

I still don't know why I had stickers all over me?

Disney Barbershop was great! They preserved her first cut lock in a bag with "pixie dust", gave her the Mickey ears and lots of stickers, and she got to play with toys during the hair cut. They also gave us a certificate of the first hair cut - for mom and dad.

With a Julie-Andrews-Sound-of-Music hair cut we flew with Dumbo (in the rain) and then danced with Daisy and met Minnie Mouse.

Daisy Duck!

Dance Party wherever she goes.

Almost a Perfect Picture....just imagine you can see Squirms.

Hi Minnie!

We shared a cake pop and a chocolate covered pineapple stick, which then meant Squirm's shirt needed to be changed (thanks CFF for the extra Minnie ears shirt!). Then Squirm's mom and dad decided they were tired and we headed home before the Night of Joy concerts began. Of course we took a couple more pictures....

Bye Mickey and Minnie!

Did I mention that I'm teething?
We had such a fun day and I was very happy with the hair cut - I was concerned how I would feel when the scissors were actually used and that precious mullet was gone. We especially enjoyed meeting up with CFF, ADF, and their girls for some rides, and our favorite part of the day was lunch with Pooh and friends. Her two Minnie Ear shirts were made for her by CFF and do actually have her name embroidered - I tried to blur out the name for the blog. She only had one "tantrum episode" and we stayed relatively dry considering the afternoon thunderstorm.

R and I did reminisce about how wonderful it was to have annual passes and walk around as a couple without a stroller - but we agreed we'd never seen anyone so happy at Disney as Squirms and it was great to be there as her parents.

  1. I have never seen someone so joyful at Disney. It blessed my heart to be there with her! :)
