The morning of the 14th we met a couple of friends in a field and launched several model rockets: Lighthouse, That One, and Booster. In case anyone is curious, Lighthouse is a rocket that R made Squirms last year sometime when she began her interest in rockets, contrails, and boosters; That One is the rocket R made Squirms for her birthday this year (red for Valentine's Day); and Booster is what Squirms named the rocket that R made for the Great.
And here are photos.

| I was so excited to put hats on the kids! It was cool outside! |
| Everyone is helping....except the Great, he's running. |
| Her Valentine's Day (birthday present) Rocket. |
| 3 2 1 |
| She was excited, still looking at the launch pad. |
| All the kids got to launch a rocket (Lighthouse shown). |
Well. This one didn't. AWR held him because he's adorable. And so he wouldn't run to the launch pad during launches. |
| BCR was our photographer - he did a great job capturing lift off. |
| MJM caught the rocket that he launched! |
| While her father isn't looking, Squirms absconds with the controller. |
| And then I was able to take a picture of her face. She was too busy for a lot of close up pictures. |
A Caterpillar!!!! They forgot about rockets for a while to watch this caterpillar. |
We had such a fun morning with friends, and only lost one rocket,
Booster, to the nearby canal.
Later that evening we Facetimed (that can be a verb, right?) with family to sing Happy Birthday and then they watched the kids eat cake and ice cream (actually pretty entertaining).

| Three candles. |

| Our birthday girl. |
I won't expand on how I might have started crying at Publix last week while picking out a birthday card for her third birthday.
But I would like to record that I said a lot of Thank You prayers on Saturday for getting to be this girl's mom.
