A little of both.

This week has felt like I was on one of those TV shows where people try to make it through an oversized, silly obstacle course - the shows that you watch when there is nothing else to do on a Saturday afternoon and you don't really plan on watching, but get sucked in because it's actually kind of funny and you find yourself cheering for these people, even though it's quite impossible to make it all the way through and everyone falls into the pond.

Wipeout. I think that's the name of one of the shows.

I was running along a large, rotating cylinder; maintaining my balance with my eyes focused straight ahead. Then I was blindsided with a giant pendulum; flung into the open air. I have just now raised my head above the water, gasping for air.

I had promised to post camping photos though, so here are some of my favorites:
She was so excited about camping. And in the background is mom's and dad's new camper.

Gathering at Uncle M's and Aunt L's for breakfast.

This is a new toy.

Getting ready for the family photo....

Still getting ready....

Smile!

Oh wait, L just drove up! Smile again!

Craft time, Aunt LPJ was prepared.

My kids learned what "cousin" means.

Action shot. I just love this one.

Because it's the Master's weekend.
The camping trip was....COLD. We slept little, especially the first night when the temperature was below freezing and the four of us got used to sharing one bed (yes, this was not primitive camping), and I considered heading south, to home, sooner than we had planned. But on Sunday afternoon we played a friendly game of softball; and listening to the heckling, pitching instructions, arguments over the number of outs, and laughter made lack of sleep and constant cold (apparently 8 1/2 years in central Florida has made me unable to handle weather below 40 degrees) totally worth it. I am so glad we were able to make the camping trip this year.

This week our family is mourning the loss of my beloved and much respected uncle. Even Easter candy is not helping me feel better about this, but our pastor's Easter sermon from I Corinthians did bring some comfort.
